1. What is the Regional Forum for Data and Community Development?

DCDF is the region's first forum dedicated to exploring data from a social and community development perspective. Here, we discuss how data can improve communities, enhance quality of life, and drive sustainable social development.

2. When and where will the forum be held?

The forum will be at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah on Wednesday and Thursday, October 9th and 10th, 2024.

3. Who are the participating speakers?

The soon to be revealed lineup will feature a renowned selection of local, regional, and international speakers with expertise in data science, healthcare, education, sustainability, technology, AI, and the business sector.

4. What activities can participants expect at the forum?

The forum offers activities to encourage data discussions. These include panel discussions and keynotes across three stages, workshops and specialized training in data fields across five halls, and an exhibition showcasing the latest data innovations and technologies. The forum will be conducted in both Arabic and English, with translation available during sessions.

Yes, the conference venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with a dedicated team to provide assistance as needed.

Yes, both self-parking and valet services are available around the venue for your convenience.

20. Will there be electric vehicle chargers at the venue or nearby?

While there are no electric vehicle chargers at the venue, you can find them nearby at the House of Wisdom, in the parking area next to Saddle Café.

21. What public transportation options are available to and from the venue?

An intercity bus stop is located just outside the venue. Additionally, Uber and Careem operate in the area, and local taxis can also be contacted at 600 525252.

22. When is the peak rush hour in Sharjah?

Peak rush hours in Sharjah are typically from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

23. What is the closest airport to the venue?

Sharjah International Airport is the closest airport.

24. Are there any hotels near the convention center?

Yes, there are some nearby hotels along with their travel times to the venue, including Centro Sharjah (7 minutes away), Pullman Sharjah (28 minutes away), and Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre (35 minutes away).

25. Are there leisure areas close by?

Yes, nearby areas include 06 Mall, City Centre Al Zahia, and Al Jada.

26. Will the event sessions be recorded?

Yes, all sessions will be recorded, with some possibly available online.
